From: "Alan Fair" <[log in to unmask]>
to tony,phil and others,
I too share Tony's, shall we call it scepticism?, Deluze's conception
of the "crystal-image" seems
to be no more than the dialectical understanding of history, the
moment as the sign that bears the
remnants of the past and the nascent future at the same time...the
cinematic image , each one bears
the weight of itself scored through with these other moments. Is
Deluze's critical construction any
more than what has been understood by critical marxism, Jameson et.al.?
