Dear All
The Nuffield Trust have just published the following chartbook: The Quest for Quality in the NHS: A chartbook on quality of care in the UK by Sheila Leatherman and Kim Sutherland. According to the Trust's press release "the Health Quality Chartbook is an assessment of the quality of healthcare in the UK. It provides a rich and varied picture of the quality in healthcare in the UK. It depicts significant successes and areas for concern, and raises important questions for future work.
The Health Quality Chartbook is a detailed, serious study by internationally acclaimed academics, Professor Sheila Leatherman and Dr Kim Sutherland. It will inform managers, clinicians, researchers, policymakers and the public about gaps between what is possible and what is delivered by the healthcare system. There have been few coherent, independent reports that provide a comprehensive, reliable, balanced and rigorous account of the strengths and weaknesses of quality in healthcare delivery in England, and none that portray the wider UK picture."
