Dear all,

We have received the following offer of a donation:

"A member of our local Guild has given me copies of Embroidery
Magazine
(as published by the Embroiderers Guild which is celebrating its 100th
birthday next year).  The magazines date from the early 1900s to
today. She no longer has room to store these and has asked if I can
perhaps
find them a worthy new home.  Most of the copies run consecutively but
there may be a few missing.  They are in good condition, and some
still have inserts the iron-on transfers.
 
"Would your museum be interested in having these as part of your
archive, either as a complete group or from particular decades?  As a
reflection on the life of women at the time they are an invaluable
source.  They
are free to a good home (although we may need to sort out transport
costs as there are a lot of them)."

As it happens, we already hold a complete run. Are there any other
libraries out there who might be interested? If so, please reply to Alex
