Dear Patricia
In response to your request on the teaching methods of Josef Albers,
there are 2 essays by Michael Craig Martin that might be of interest to you
1. His introduciton to the Drawing the Line Exhibtion where he mentions
some of the Albers techniques
Craig-Martin, Michael. (Ed.) 1995 Drawing the Line, South Banks Centre,
London
2. His contribution to the Josef Albers Retrospective Catalogue from 1997
(approx). He discusses his time at Black Mountain college following the
departure of Albers and the influences he left on the subsequent teaching
there and on graduates (Craig Martin included). I will try to get the actual
refernce for you.
Hope thjs is of some use,
Brian
