Mark, yours was a timely message. I have had a handful of requests over
recent days to unsubscribe fron the DRN email discussion list - probably
because there's been a lot of discussion recently (which from my point
of view is great to see). The biggest problem is that it fills our
email inboxes with stuff we might and might not want to read. Your
www.drawing-board.org.uk does overcome this. We couild, of course, keep
both systems running but it seems a shame to have two separate
discussions going. How do readers feel? Do you prefer receiving all
messages via email or would you rather migrate to the bulletin board?
With regard to an archive both systems provide this. The archive of DRN
emails since we began in 2001 is available at
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/drawing-research.html. It allow keyword
searching or browsing by month.

Hi All,
I've been monitoring this discussion over the past few
days and would just like to take this opportunity to
plug www.drawing-board.org.uk
Posting this topic and subsequent replies would
produce a permanent record of this discussion and
prevent inbox congestion.
When posting on the drawing board you can flag email
when responded to, so that if you don't want to keep
checking the drawing board to see if someone has
responded to a post it'll email you when someone does.
The permanent record would prove useful in terms of
maintaining a sense of continuity in discussion that
others may benefit from
Shameless, but altruistic
Mark.
