Nice sketches! Series of sketches on tickets is a lovely idea. I
confess, browsing through other people's sketchbooks is one of my guilty
pleasures.
I fill up my sketchbooks very intensely whenever I'm travelling, but it
takes much longer for one book (I use old school notebooks) to get full
when I'm back at my normal boring everyday life. From time to time I try
to apply that sharpened "travel-perception" to normal life, but it never
works for more than a day or two.
I have noticed that many "carnets de voyage" are published in France
these days, but they often have that slick, made-to-be-published look
(artists either seem to be more interested in being faithful to their
styles than to the object they're depicting or seem to use photos)and
lack the spontaneity, the somewhat "searchy" feel sketches should
normally have.
Some of my travel sketches are on the web; start at

and follow the links at the bottom.

Hello ALison,
I use sketchbooks to record everything I can, wherever I go, possibly
because I have a poor memory. I call these books my travel diaries as
they
have thought and collected ephemera as well as drawings - everything to
give
the mood of the place I am in. You can view some examples of the
drawings in
the books at www.fionawilson.net/drawing. I will be happy to help if
this
kind of book interests you.
