Subject: [padiforum-l] Digital preservation tools - Request for
information
Dear Padiforum-l subscribers,
I am developing a new PADI topic called 'digital preservation tools'.
This topic will encompass an evaluation and description of the various
open source and other digital preservation tools available on the web.
It would include (but not be limited to) resources such as JHOVE, XENA,
DROID, National Library of New Zealand metadata extraction tool, DSpace
and FEDORA.
I am looking for feedback / experiences in using resources such as
these. Any information on strengths or weaknesses, ease of use and
functionality would be much appreciated.
Please send replies to [log in to unmask] or if you prefer you can reply
via the general comments section of the PADI web form at
http://www.nla.gov.au/padi/padifeedback.html
Regards,
Marian Hanley
