EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT
Towards inclusive online provision of public services in European cities
and regions
14 October 2005 Prague, Czech RepublicThis workshop is being organised
as part of the Eurocities Knowledge Society Forum "Telecities 2005". The
latest results from the representative eUser population survey 2005 in
European countries for the domains eGovernment, eHealth and eLearning
will be presented, along with a series of European good practices from
these domains.
CALL FOR TENDERS
Broadband Internet Access Costs Study
(Deadline: 30/09/2005) The study is intended to provide price data on
broadband Internet access costs. The results will be used for the
benchmarking exercise for the i2010 initiative which will follow the
current eEurope 2005 Action Plan. They will also form part of the
Commission's report to the European Parliament and Council on the
transposition and implementation of the current regulatory package.

8th European Health Forum Gastein
5 October 2005 - 8 October 2005 Bad Hofgastein, AustriaThe 2005 Forum
will focus on much-needed partnerships for progress in health
development. Various health challenges will be assessed and potential
solutions developed in discussion with the delegates. There will be a
particular focus on engaging a broad range of stakeholders, but
especially on involving and serving citizens in Europe. An eHealth Forum
is hosted by the European Commission's Information Society and Media
Directorate General. It will concentrate on: eHealth Infrastructures for
Tomorrow's Health Systems - the EU eHealth Action Plan, eHealth ERA
activities, benefits and economic impact of eHealth - case studies,
Health-e strategies for European Citizens - the Member States'
activities

IBC2005 Conference
8 September 2005 - 12 September 2005 Amsterdam, The NetherlandsThe
conference will focus on a number of specific themes : delivery to the
consumer, high definition television, mobile applications, content
production and digital cinema. At the exhibition, most relevant results
achieved by research projects under the Networked Audiovisual Systems
and Home Platforms (NAVSHP) strategic objective of the European
Commission's IST Research programme will be shown in an "IST village".
