Impact Analysis Call for Tender (21 January 2005)
The objective of this tender is to establish a Framework Contract for Impact Analysis. This will allow the measurement and analysis of impacts of RTD projects in IST which are already completed, starting from FP5. The Call for Tender will be open until 25 February 2005.

Euro-Singapore ICT Cooperation Event
Singapore
With the aim to enhance scientific and technological cooperation between the EU and South East Asia in the ICT field, the European Commission will organise a series of cooperation events in 2005. The first such event will take place in Singapore on 27 and 28 January 2005. Similar events will be organised in Malaysia, Thailand and Taiwan. An EU-South East Asia Forum will be organised in 2006.

15th NID (Nanotechnology Information Devices) Workshop
Madrid, Spain
The workshop will stage the review meetings of 15 projects in the NID initiative, plenary presentations from invited speakers from research, and working group meetings on advanced research topics in nanotechnology and nanoelectronics. The NID initiative is part of the Information Society Technologies priority of the 5th Framework Programme of the European Union. It focuses on the application of a broad range of nano-scale technologies to information processing and on the perspectives for replacing mainstream approaches, such as CMOS, when they will reach the expected physical limits for miniaturisation.
