Learn with Museums, Libraries and Archives in the East Midlands
EMMLAC is the regional development agency for museums, libraries and
archives in the East Midlands www.emmlac.org.uk . Our role is to provide
strategic leadership, powerful advocacy and to encourage and support
innovation in services from the region’s museums, libraries and archives.
One of EMMLAC’s key aims is to promote learning and we are seeking an
enthusiastic and experienced person to join our Learning and Access team
based at EMMLAC offices in Central Leicester.
Learning Policy Officer
£21,790 - £28, 168
37 hours per week
This post will support museums, libraries and archives to develop a broad
range of quality learning opportunities and will develop specific learning
initiatives involving Basic Skills and Family Learning.
You will have:
o A degree or equivalent qualification
o At least two years experience of working in a museum, archive, library
or an education environment o Understanding of the contribution museums,
libraries and archives make to formal and informal learning
Learn with Museums Project Officer
£21,790 - £28,168
37 hours per week
Fixed term contract until end March 2006.
Leading a team of three education workers, this post will support museums
and archives to use their collections to develop learning resources which
link to the National Curriculum.
You will have:
o A degree or equivalent qualification
o Have experience of working in either an education or museum environment
o Good leadership and team working skills
