Research Assistant in Crime Prevention
£20,235 - £29,715 per annum
An independent and enthusiastic individual is sought to fill a full-time,
one-year post on a project examining mobile phone design and theft. The
researcher will work with Professor Graham Farrell on a project funded
within the EPSRC Crime and Technology programme.
The aim of the project, conducted in collaboration with Dr. J McCardle and
Mr. I. Storer of the Department of Design and Technology, is to develop
innovative design solutions to mobile phone theft, and assess offender
responses. Key tasks will include undertaking literature review work and
information gathering, developing interview instruments, data preparation
and analysis, and prison visits to interview offenders. It is
anticipated that the successful candidate will start as soon as possible
upon appointment.
