Dear Graeme et al,
I am supervising a PhD student who submitted in
September. We've gotten held up because I haven't been
able to find a suitable external. To make matters
worse, I found out today that because this student is
also a member of staff at our institution, I'm
required to provide TWO external examiners. One should
be highly experienced and will serve as chair, and the
other can be slightly less experienced.
At any rate, this student has written a full-length
play based on the life of Albert Speer. He has also
written a substantial theoretical introduction in
which he explores the position of post-modern theory
in the creative writing process. So ideally I'd be
looking for someone with knowledge of writing for
performance, as well as knowledge of critical theory.
I would be eternally grateful if anyone out there has
any suggestions!
