Why "yet again" when you've never described it here?
In fact, I find clf (or any newsgroup) much less convenient than an
email list, and trying to have a technical discussion there is like
doing it in a crowded pub on a Saturday night, except without beer.
> I'll stretch it WAY out so that maybe it'll look big and complex
I was just asking, no need to get sarky just because I've never seen
your (non)proposal.
Later you write:
>Since it's WWWAAAYYY to early to have any official consideration
...
>the idea should be rejected out of hand
So, you don't want us (the committee) to talk about your proposal.
(Maybe I won't make the effort to find it on clf after all then.)
You just want us to ignore things that users other than yourself
have already sent to us.
Thanks for making that clear.

I don't know where you got that from, since that's not what is coming up
at all. It is to be a minor revision. That does not exclude new
features, even substantial new features, though the overall amount of
change is going to be limited by the schedule.
Yes, there are a number of people who would prefer that there be no
major new features for F2008, but actually I think they are probably
in the minority. Myself, I'm intending to judge the proposals on their
merits (and feasibility in the context of the schedule).
Cheers,
