Thanks for your reply regarding witch trial research. Yes, the strand is
about 'academic poetry' but my point was/is simply that rightly all things
should cross over -not just in disciplines within universities but
especially in considering the teaching of creative writing. Tonight I've
been talking to actors/directors whose whole point is 'going between' their
creativity and building their audience. So, in teaching creative writing,
where is the material for this process (academe's interior or a social -
socio-historic - exterior?); then, where is the audience? Is the audience
established within universities? Where the audeince? Without cross-over,
poets are talking to poets only - surely?
