Shearsman Books will be holding a reading on Wednesday 9 November
2005 at
St Giles-in-the-Fields (The Poets' Church)
60 St Giles High Street
Covent Garden
London WC2H 8LG
at 7:30 pm to launch the following two titles:
Peter Cole: What is Doubled. Poems 1981-1998
and
Tom Lowenstein: Ancestors and Species: New & Selected Ethnographic
Poetry
Entrance is free.
The reading will last about 45 minutes.
The official launch of Peter Cole's book occurred at last weekend's
Aldeburgh Poetry Festival (where Peter gave a superb reading), but
this is the London launch. This is a welcome opportunity to catch
Peter on one of his very rare visits to the UK, and an opportunity to
hear Tom Lowenstein's recent work, as featured in his new volume.
St Giles in the Fields is located one block south-east of Centre
Point, or one street behind Charing Cross Road, heading towards
Holborn on Denmark Street. The nearest tube stations are:
Tottenham Court Road (Northern / Central)
Covent Garden (Piccadilly)
Holborn (Central / Piccadilly)
The best bus routes are those serving Charing Cross Road or New
Oxford Street.
