No, you can't. I didn't offer one. A definition of the world? The whole
world? No. I gave you some idea of some of my thoughts on poetry; and I
appear to have wasted my time

why

that which I do not accept causes both of us a problem
it causes me no problem, Tom
I don't know what it is you don't accept or why
*that causes me problems
that and the growing suspicion this is a windup
but not your differences with me because I dont know what they are

misunderstanding,
No, leading to frustration with your evasion

wants to understand the other,
and that is offensive
I keep asking you what you are talking about and all I get are
generalisations
you are not being clear
you are not clarifying

definition upon the other.
and that is even more offensive

a bridge for understanding.
stop being evasive - that might help
I challenged your assumptions and you wouldnt have it
now, despite you still not clarifying your questions, I have taken time and
trouble so say something in reply and you dare to accuse me of not wanting
to understand you and to impose my ideas
