Hi Neil
I wonder if you re-name your snapshot properties file to, say,
snapshot_rollover.properties and see if COPYINTO picks up the correct
file. I've used a file called snapshot_copyinto.properties with no
problems.
Good luck,
Helena

Subject: Snapshot COPYINTO problems
It's that time of year again when we are probably all rolling Blackboard
over
for next session. As usual I am having problems running processes which
I am
sure used to work fine. If anyone can give me any help on the following
I would
be eternally grateful.
My strategy is to use the COPYINTO command (syntax below) to copy all
modules
from 2004/05 and give them new 2005/06 names. To facilitate this I have
created
a new snapshot.properties file called snapshot.properties.rollover which
excludes annoncements, calendars and a few other things from being
copied.
However the snapshot process seems to be ignoring the new properties
file and
copying everything from the old course to the new one. Am I doing
something
wrong? I am running Blackboard Learning System (6.2.3.19). I am sure it
worked
last year?
Snapshot Syntax:
./snapshot_override.sh -D"data.source.key=MODULE_SITS_0506.TXT" -V
'hostname'
-f CRS_COPYINTO -t
/blackboard/blackboard/apps/snapshot/data/manual/adhoc/copyintoTEST.TXT
-C
/blackboard/blackboard/apps/snapshot/data/snapshot.properties.rollover
