Hello,
To ask a separate question on the same theme - is it possible on v6.2 to
include a reference (the name) within the home page announcement module to
the actual Bb site on which the announcement has been placed ? We do not
seem to get this and it would be helpful to the users initial understanding
of the relevance of the flagged announcements and decision whether to follow
them up or not.
Thanks John

Hi Peter,
I don't know which version of Bb you've running, but after aplication pack
2 a permanent announcement will be shown for ever and ever. To solve that
problem we have set in the database all announcements to not-permanent. The
most recent announcements will still be shown (depending if they are one
day, 7 or 30 days old), all others will be hidden from the startpage. These
hidden announcements can of course still be found in the courses they belong
to.
Besides this we also informed all instructors NOT to use the option of
permanent messages.
