Hi Blackboarders..
I am trying to query the Bb database to identify files that satisfy both of
the following criteria:
1) Stored in the CMS and have certain file properties in the CMS
And
2) Deployed as content in the LMS and have certain characteristics in the
LMS content
I have worked out how to query these two requirements separately.
What I have NOT managed to find is how to associate these to separate
queries.
I think I am looking for a link between the File_ID in the CMS and the File
Location in the LMS.
I have heard that a building block exists that finds broken links in the LMS
so I assume it must be possible to link between the LMS file data and the
CMS file data.
If anyone has discovered a way I would be most grateful for a clue!
Thanks in advance

reader
I came across something similar a year or so ago - a pop up window would
appear when the student clicked on the word document, but when they tried to
open it froze. I recommended the not-so-great-but-still-works solution of
clicking on 'save' instead - this would work ok.

Subject: Possible problem with attachments on Blackboard and JAWS screen
reader
We have a number of students using JAWS screen reader and recently have had
notice that when they try to download word attachments that are posted on
Blackboard - Internet Explorer will normally crash with a MSHTML.dll error.
We are able to replicate this problem and have yet to find a setup that does
reliably load the attachment each time without crashing whilst JAWS is
loaded.
If you do have access to this screen reader at your institution could you
just try accessing a word attachment and see if all works OK - it could be
some regional setting that we are not aware of. As you can see below the
response from the manufacturers of JAWS was not helpful and indicates there
may be other issues we are unaware of.
We are using Blackboard 6.1 and JAWS version 6
