No software that I know does grammar and style but using text readback
software is very good for second language speakers. Something like Read
and Write Standard (also works within Blackboard) also has text
prediction which predicts in context along with a speaking spell check
and homophone checker. Read back can be customised to suit the learner
by voice type, speed, pitch. There are several products which do this
(Penfriend, Keystone and Co-Writer) and some free text to speech
programmes as well.

Subject: Language Support
This is a bit off-message (i.e.) not Blackboard, but you're all up to
your eyes in support stuff, so here goes.
Do you use any software for language support - by which I mean giving
feedback to students whose first language is not English in terms of
grammar and style? We have a bit of a need for such a thing.
