Dear Colleague
Humanities Insights: General Editors
Humanities-Ebooks has now appointed General Editors for three series of
introductions called Humanities Insights. They are: Dr Mark Addis, Reader
in Philosophy and Cultural Theory at the University of Central England
(Philosophy Insights), Alan Cousins, formerly Head of Humanities at the
College of St Mark & St John (History Insights), and Dr Charles Moseley,
Director of Studies in English, Hughes Hall, Cambridge (Literature
Insights).
The Insights Series is an opportunity to turn your teaching excitements and
experience into permanent form for a wider readership. As an Insights
author you will be writing something that you would happily recommend to
your students, and would expect other academics to recommend to their
students, because in place of summaries and model answers they will be
purchasing a stimulating, suggestive yet authoritative introduction to
matters of debate and interpretation. The series will characteristically
raise rather more questions than it answers, will set readers thinking
about questions before proposing answers, and will address some major
issues dialogically. The Insights series is described in detail on the HE
website where a sample ebook is also available for your inspection.
>From the website you can email the appropriate General Editor to discuss
your ideas for the series. Your ideas will be most welcome.
