Hi Maxine
For free images I always try Stock.Xchng first (www.sxc.hu). You need to register (for free) to get to the high resolution images - it really is worth it.
A search for 'document' on Stock.Xchng returns some good images - including a Middle Ages manuscript.
Other free photo sites can be found by looking at Stock.Xchng's links page (http://www.sxc.hu/info.phtml?f=links).
Hope that helps!
Chris

Dear All
Can anyone provide details of websites from which I can download free images of generic archives and artefacts to use in a presentation?
Many thanks for your assistance.
Maxine
