As part of the New Glamorgan Record Office project I am looking at the project management of our move. This covers:
1. Upgrading of existing location information into a form usable now (particularly important as we embark on a large repackaging programme)
2. Use of that data to control our move (probably using an RFID or barcode system)
3. The physical move itself
4. Transfer of location data to new building systems and integration of data into CALM
I am looking at tendering for these services. However, to do this I need to prepare yet more tender documentation. Has anyone been through this, or part of this, process and prepared a spec to go out to tender? I am also preparing a list of firms I will invite to tender - suggestions of additional names to put on the list would be welcome.
