There are several people who have and probably still are working on
phytoliths in Eastern NA.
including (but not limited to):
Linda Scott Cummings
Irv Rovner
Lisa Kealhofer
Debbie Pearsall and/or some of her students
and others
People have been researching phytoliths in E. NA for decades and
results are both pubished and in unpublished manuscripts. Sarah --
are you looking for someone to do some work for you or are you
researching a paper? More specifics on the question would be
helpful. If you are researching a paper, start with published books
on phytoliths, such as those by D. Pearsall and Dolores Piperno --
papers by I. Rovner, Vic Carbone, for site specific work you'll need
to dig deeper into the unpublished manuscripts.
Sincerely,
Linda Scott Cummings
