I have acquired a few old samples from the "Annotated Metallographic
Samples" associated with A. R. Bailey and his booklets which were
well-known in UK Metallographic work in the 1970-1980 period. If anyone
has any information regarding the composition of the following small ingots
I would very much like to hear from them: The ingots are: bronze or brass
Sample E4; bronze or brass Sample B16; Brass Sample B4; Phosphor bronze (?
these are just guesses) Sample B.K., Bronze or brass Sample BU1, Sample
BU3, Sample E7, Sample B14, Sample E3 and Sample E2.
Some of these may possibly be described in the now obscure series written
by Dr. Bailey, formerly of Metallurgical Services, Betchworth, Surrey, UK.
Any information from the UK gratefully received. David
