Problem with most multilingual dictionaries is that they never really cover the field any specialist is working in. For some odd reason they always seem to be compiled by people that are either generalists (nothing wrong with that) or specialists who forget that there are fields they don't know even exist. Both come up with generally working dictionaries but fail when it comes to translating specialised words. This probably is also due to the fact that most 'common' dictionaries won't give an archaeologically relevant translation for many words. If one bothers to take a look at dictionaries issued in different countries it's clear that a D-E translation in Germany gives (sometimes, but especially in cases of specialised fields of science) another translation than the English equivalent.
