C-SAP funds are available to both staff and students in UK universities and colleges delivering HE programmes in Sociology, Anthropology and Politics or sub-disciplines (e.g. Criminology, Developmental Studies, Gender Studies, etc) and are intended to foster a pro-active approach to change in learning and teaching. Applicants should complete the attached 'Expressions of Interest' form or download it from the C-SAP website on http://www.c-sap.bham.ac.uk/hottopic/funding.htm outlining their proposed project and send by email to Silvia Ricondo, Projects Administrator at C-SAP on: [log in to unmask]
Building upon and consolidating the success of the four previous rounds, C-SAP will fund four larger projects in 2005, each up to a maximum of £15,000. Successful projects will address one of the following themes:
a.. Globalisation,
b.. Higher Education Policy,
c.. E-learning,
d.. Vocationalism,
e.. Widening Participation,
f.. Employability,
g.. Student Perspectives,
h.. Pedagogy and Pedagogic Research,
i.. Race and Ethnicity,
j.. Academic Activism.
C-SAP continues to be committed to the development of learning and teaching informed by its working principles of localised agenda-setting, scholarship, disciplinary innovation and lasting change. C-SAP's Academic Co-ordinators will support applicants and successful projects with visits, bespoke advice, background literature and academic contacts.
Applications from consortia of departments or those that seek to link disciplines are particularly welcomed. Strong applications are likely to build upon existing projects or initiatives. Details of current and completed projects, together with an expanding set of C-SAP Findings coming out of these projects, are all available on the C-SAP website at www.c-sap.bham.ac.uk.
