Limit of tenure: Five years from start date
Applications are invited for the above Research Associate post. The
post-holder will have a postgraduate qualification in medical/applied
statistics or epidemiology or an equivalent. The post- holder will be
expected to work in collaboration with others as well as independently in
his/her area of expertise. This post will support the statistical aspects of
the Chair's research programme, particularly with regard to existing large
cohort studies into ageing and health. As well as supporting the data and
statistical aspects of ongoing studies, the post-holder will be expected to
contribute to the drafting of scientific papers, and their presentation at
conferences and to develop projects with the Chair and the research team.
The post-holder may be expected to contribute to teaching students and share
expertise with colleagues in the Department.
For appropriately qualified people who do not yet have sufficient experience
in a senior role, it may be possible to make an appointment on the Research
Assistant scale £19,460-£21,640.
