Dear Gareth
I have been applying quantile regression to visualization of array CGH data. Together with my colleague, Paul Eilers, we have recently published a paper about this in Bioinformatics (doi: 10.1093/bioinformatics/bti148). In the paper we mainly outline the use of quantile regression to compute smoothed quantiles of curves. We are now using it in the context of smoothing group quantiles, in the context of studies using factorial designs. These results will be published shortly.
I don't know when you will be giving your course, but I would be interested in having a copy of your course material, if that is possible.
Good luck with the course,
Renee Menezes.

Subject: Quantile regression
I am hoping to cover quantile regression in a course that I am giving.
The theory and computational side ( thanks to R) I have wrapped up and
I have some examples. What I have realized is that I have no idea who
uses quantile regression as a tool in their work.
So if you use quantile regression or know who does please mail me. I
don't expect details ( but if you want to - fine) but I would like to
know what is the application area.
Thanks
G.Janacek
