Public Health Intelligence Specialist
(Medical Statistician/Junior Epidemiologist)
Salary: £24,327 - £29,599
Base: Welwyn Garden City

A Junior Epidemiologist post is now vacant within the team. The PHI team
serves the Public Health Network which includes clinical networks (eg CHD,
Cancer), the SHA, HPT (Community Information) and Beds Shared Services
besides 10 PCTs. The population is served by four major acute trusts with 6
hospital sites in the SHA.
The post holder will need to understand robust appropriate methods of
statistical analysis for the compilation of Public Health Reports, Equity
Audit and other reports to support PCTs and the SHA's agenda.
The post holder will be a graduate (MSc desirable) and will be given
opportunity for development in epidemiology and experience in Evidence Based
Medicine under the guidance of the Head of Public Health Intelligence.
