In Unilever Corporate Research we are increasing the number of studies we run
on human subjects. This gives someone with several years` experience of data
management in a similar context an enviable opportunity: namely to build, shape
and implement a system that`s vital to the research of one of the world`s
largest consumer goods companies.
It will be your responsibility to ensure that the valuable data from our
studies is collected and stored in a robust, verifiable and accessible manner.
You`ll do this by creating, maintaining and monitoring a common procedure - and
then investigating and providing software tools and advice to help colleagues
follow the process. You`ll also occasionally need to travel overseas to keep up
to date with the industry and meet with colleagues.
This is a highly strategic role, where you`ll enjoy much contact with Human
Studies Co-ordinators, Study Statisticians and other scientific teams on a
daily basis. That means that you`ll need both the knowledge and the credibility
to be able to influence a wide range of people, as well as the clarity of
thought and organisational flair to launch yourself straight into the role. As
well as significant experience in this area, you`ll need a degree in a
scientific, mathematical or computer science related discipline and preferably
some experience of clinical studies procedures for a major pharmaceutical
company.
