Background:
Our client employs over 3,000 people in Europe across sales and marketing, Research & Development (R&D). They are focused on three key therapy areas: urology, dermatology, and transplantation. These therapy areas are key to our client's European success although they are always seeking those from other therapy areas to join the organisation. To this end they are looking for a SAS Programmer to contribute to their success, based from the Netherlands office on a permanent employment basis.
Role and Responsibilities:
The Clinical Programmer has full responsibility for programming for individual clinical studies, and may assist the Senior Clinical Programmer in more complex studies.
The tasks are carried out in a frame-work of:
*Planning & deadlines internal and external procedures and regulations e.g. SOP's, ICH-GCP
*Create plan for development, implementation and testing
*Transform requirements into program code
*Validate programs according to validation plan
*Provide data sets for statistical analysis and reports
*Create derived data
*Check and document the data sets provided
*Support SAS users
*Instruct and support other users and inform them of new developments
Qualifications and Experience:
* A statistical and/or computing related degree
* Basic understanding of and interest in database structures and programming
* Knowledge of relevant standards for clinical studies both external (e.g. ICH-GCP) and internal SOP's
* Numerical abilities and analytical skills
