Need help with designing a clinical trial to assess a health care
intervention?
The Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) is the best study design for
assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of health care
interventions. The York Trials Unit at the University of York is
dedicated to undertaking and supporting high quality RCTs, with a vast
range of experience to draw on.
This autumn we are offering two short courses to support GPs, nurses and
other health care professionals in designing, conducting and analysing
randomised controlled trials.
Introduction to Statistics for Clinical Trials
led by Professor Martin Bland
26-27 September 2005
Introduction to the Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials
led by Professor David Torgerson
28-30 September 2005.
These courses will use a combination of lectures and practical
sessions. No previous experience of trial design or statistical
analysis is necessary.
Book by 18 July 2005 for a fee reduction.
