Applications are invited for a BBSRC CASE quota studentship 'Analysis of time-course data from cDNA microarray experiments' in the Bioinformatics and Biomathematics Division at Rothamsted Research, in association with the School of Applied Statistics, The University of Reading.
The student will be under the supervision of Robin Thompson (RRes) and Mike Patefield (Reading), with VSN International as the industrial partner. Other Rothamsted collaborators include Sue Welham, Paul Verrier (Bioinformatics and Biomathematics) and Malcolm Hawkesford (Crop Performance and Improvement).
This is a BBSRC CASE quota studentship allocated to Rothamsted Research, and the student would be based at the Institute in Harpenden, Herts. The current stipend of £13,000 p/a (£10,500 standard stipend + £2,500 CASE supplement) is payable to UK students only. Applicants should normally have a Second Class Honours Degree or Masters Degree in mathematics or statistics, or in a biological science with a strong mathematical/statistical component.
