This post is offered as a two-year, fixed-term post in the first instance.
A Medical Statistician is required to join the Research & Development Office of a dynamic, three-star, Foundation Trust to provide researchers in a wide variety of specialties across the Trust with statistical advice and support.
Working with an existing senior Medical Statistician and reporting to the Assistant Director of Research & Development, you will play a major role in running a statistical consultancy service for researchers within the Trust. In addition, you will help to develop and deliver courses on statistics, particularly to those new to research.
You will be a graduate and will possess, or be studying for, an MSc in Medical Statistics. You will have appropriate IT knowledge and experience in at least two of the major statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, GLIM, GENSTAT, STATA, MINITAB) and excellent communication skills. Experience of clinical research and consultancy are desirable.
