LECTURERS / SENIOR LECTURERS IN BIOSTATISTICS (2 POSTS)

The Institute of Psychiatry (IOP), a school of King’s College London,
invites applications for two posts of Non-Clinical Lecturer / Senior
Lecturer in the Department of Biostatistics and Computing. The role of
academic statisticians in the department is threefold:-
1) conducting their own methodological research, as well as collaborative
research with academics from other departments,
2) contributing to the IOPs postgraduate teaching programmes on
Behavioural Research Methodology by providing courses on key statistical
methodologies, statistical software and introductory statistics
3) provision of statistical and computing advice to students and staff in
other departments
Applicants should have a formal qualification in statistics, preferably
hold a research degree, have relevant experience of working as an applied
statistician and of teaching statistical concepts. Statistical expertise
in areas of particular relevance to the behavioural sciences and
psychiatry would be welcome; for example longitudinal/multilevel
modelling, multivariate methods, measurement reliability and validity.
Starting salary in the range £23,963 pa to £44,896 pa (inclusive of £2,323
pa London Allowance), depending on qualifications and experience.
