Before I sign off teaching for the year I am looking around for a new
course text for my course on statistical modeling next year.
My problems are
(1) I have used Dobson in the past but the new edition is not quite
such a good fit to what I want.
(2) Krzanowski -An Introduction to Statistical Modeling appears to be
out of print
(3) Statistical Models by Davison is only available as a hard back
( note: I adjust what I teach to the text)
So if you have any suggestions as to a text that is priced so that my
students ( mainly hard up mathematicians ) will read it and which
covers regression - anova and goes as far as generalized linear models
I would be most grateful! Ideally it will inspire them to take up
statistics.
