Details
Around the world, people rely on the dedication and innovation of
GlaxoSmithKline to help them lead longer, healthier, happier lives. And we
in turn depend on the skills of our Statistics and Programming teams to
ensure that all our major clinical trials generate the best results. There
is currently a vacancy at our Harlow site in the UK, within our team of
statisticians and programmers, as a project statistician. Statistical
expertise is an essential part of the process in the development of major
new drugs and indications, and you'll be contributing to the development
of international clinical development plans, as well as to the design and
analysis of individual clinical trials. You will also be involved in
contributing to reporting aspects of studies that will form the basis of
regulatory submissions to major agencies worldwide. In addition, as a
member of the Biomedical Data Sciences organisation, you will have
opportunities to work with others on projects which may influence future
departmental strategy. You’ll be a key member of global multi-disciplinary
project teams, so you will have demonstrated an ability to influence
colleagues in complex situations, and will possess excellent relationship
building and planning skills. Combined with this you will have an advanced
understanding of the drug development process and at least five years
experience in the pharmaceutical environment. The closing date for
applications is Friday 22nd April 2005.
