CLINICAL TRIALS AND STATISTICS UNIT
MEDICAL STATISTICIAN
The Institute of Cancer Research, one of the world's leading cancer research centres, is looking for a medical statistician to join its Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit (ICR-CTSU) at its Sutton site.
As a member of the ICR-CTSU you will work on the initiation, conduct and analysis of local and national randomised clinical trials of cancer treatment including:
· study design
· protocol development
· analysis of longitudinal and/or complete data sets
· statistical analysis
· trial management
This will involve working closely with clinical colleagues at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust and other collaborators in the UK.
Applicants should hold a post graduate qualification in statistics or a first degree in statistics and have at least 1-2 years experience in medical statistics. In addition s/he should have excellent communication skills as the ability to communicate statistical results and concepts to collaborators will form an essential part of this post.
This appointment will be on a Fixed Term Contract for 3 years in the first instance with a salary in the range of £22,887 pa to £24,997 pa. Excellent conditions including 30 days holiday, pension scheme, sports and social facilities.
