This exciting meeting is aimed at statisticians and non-statisticians alike. All are welcome and we would encourage you to attend if you are a mathematician, statistician, scientist or student working in this field, or if you have a interest in the many issues surrounding GMOs.

GMOs: issues related to the safety of the environment and consumers Professor Mike Gasson, Institute of Food Research, Norwich
Economic implications of GMO introductions in farming: benefits, costs and unknowns Professor Joe Morris, Cranfield University
Risk Analysis and GMOs John Fenlon, University of Warwick
Designs of experiments and analysis of data concerning GM crops Professor Joe Perry, Rothamsted Research
Professor Vic Barnett, Chair of the Society's General Applications Section will open the meeting and with Ron Smith, Chair of the Environmental Statistics Section, will co-chair an open discussion/debate at the end of the meeting.
