Dear friends,
I wanted to ask about the proper analysis of the following problem. I have a sample of patients that had an odor identification test (sniffin stick) with response yes/no. Now I want to find the association of two odors e.g orange and cinnamon and I have the following results:
Orange
yes no
yes 150 34
Cinnamon
no 432 140
Could I use chi-square test? I think it is not right because the samples are not independent, the same sample responded to the orange odor identification test and the same sample responded to the cinnamon odor identification test. Should I use Mc Nemar’s test or something else?
Cheers,
Bettina
