You are, of course, right. I'm after a certain minimum critical number. Edstat is contributed to by a small number of experts, and there is a large volume of "lurkers". I would hope for more contributions from the "lurkers", in an environment where they are not going to be flamed or experience sarcasm: just positive advice. I'm not an expert, and hope that more will join MedStats.....and we'll take it from there.

I think a general stats discussion list for the medical area would be a likely runner. I would certainly join it to start with. The critical problem is the volume: too many people active and the transactions would be too voluminous, too few people and it would not be seen as a place for effective discussion. However, I expect it would be hard to adjust the volume.
