The Role
The role is to lead the statistics support for Primary and Antibiotics
Supply (PAS) one of 4 operating divisions in GSK Global Manufacturing and
Supply (GMS). PAS manufactures active ingredients for GSK products. This
vacancy follows the appointment of the previous head to lead statistics
across GMS. The manager leads a well-established team of 12 statisticians
and a community of black belts and others across 19 sites worldwide. They
are also a member of the PSA Technical Development management team and the
GMS Statistics Community of Practice leadership team. They would provide
technical leadership, mentoring, coaching and management to the
statisticians, and advice, technical support and training on all
statistical matters to all levels of PSA management.
Your Profile
· BSc or equivalent in statistics, mathematics or other subject with
strong statistics element, preferably supported by MSc or PhD and/or
CStat.
· Significant experience in applying statistics, leading statistical
projects and/or of leading a statistics service to a business preferably
in a manufacturing environment.
· Advantageous are experience in research into statistical methods,
statistical systems development/validation and/or training in statistics
especially for non-statisticians.
· A good communicator used to working with and influencing senior
managers.
