Results from the Commercial Victimisation Survey
The 2002 Commercial Victimisation Survey (CVS) is the first national survey
undertaken by the Home Office of crime against retailers and manufacturers
since 1994. This talk will provide an overview of the drivers for the
commission of the survey, the methodology employed and the key findings from
the survey with reference to the first (1994) CVS and discuss other surveys
of crime against business. In addition, the talk will touch on how the Home
Office has responded to the problem of business crime and how the Home
Office plans to monitor crime against businesses in the future.
Speakers:
The speakers will be Sian Nicholas and Andrea Finney from the Home Office
Research, Development and Statistics (RDS) and Mark Speed from IFF Research.
Mike Schuck from the British Retail Consortium will be the discussant and
the session will be chaired by Tricia Dodd of RDS.
