A vacancy exists for a suitably qualified Medical Statistician to work at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust and the National Heart and Lung Institute, a Division of the Imperial College School of Medicine. Together this leading centre has an international reputation for excellence for heart and lung research. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects initiated by research active staff on two hospital sites, situated at Chelsea and Harefield.
The successful candidate will work within the department of Health Services Research but will be focused in supporting the statistical needs of clinicians and other research active staff across the Trust and NHLI. Within the post there are significant opportunities for teaching and research collaboration, with good professional support.
Applicants must have a first degree in Mathematics, Statistics or a related subject and ideally an MSc in Medical Statistics. Practical experience with SAS or Stata is essential together with knowledge of databases and graphics packages.
