LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN STATISTICS Plymouth
Salary £23643 to £36428 pa – Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Scale
The School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Plymouth, invites
applications for a full-time lecturer/senior lecturer in the area of
applied statistics, biostatistics or epidemiology. The successful
applicant will contribute to our work in some of the following areas:
teaching statistics and research methodology at postgraduate and
undergraduate levels across the Faculty and University; conducting
research in applied statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, healthcare
applications or related subjects; obtaining external research funding and
helping other scientists to do the same; collaborating with healthcare
researchers and others in designing studies.
We are looking for a person with demonstrated or potential excellence in
research in applied statistics especially someone motivated by
applications in epidemiology, healthcare and related subjects. However,
strong candidates in any area of statistics are encouraged to apply.
Recruitment and selection will be based on individual merit, however, we
should particularly like to encourage applications from women and black
and minority ethnic people who are under-represented in the Faculty of
Technology.
