As part of a major investment in System Biology and related areas of
biology and medicine, the University of Warwick has
created the Warwick Systems Biology Centre and is building on the
university’s current strengths by appointing 11 new posts
in the Centre as well as a professorship in Molecular Cell Biology. The
following posts may be of interest to statisticians:
*Bioinformatics (3 posts)*. We seek three candidates, up to two of which
may be at Professor/ Reader level, with excellent
research records who will provide strong links with experimental groups
and the mathematical and statistical activity in the area as well as
developing their own research specialisms.
*Mathematical Modelling and Analysis of Biological Systems (2 posts)*.
These posts are at the lecturer level with flexibility about the level
of appointment. We seek individuals
to create internationally leading research groups. Their background is
likely to be in an area of the mathematical sciences, physics, computer
science or engineering.
The closing date for these posts is 14 July, but late applications may
be considered.
Candidates who wish to discuss aspects of these posts should contact
Professor DA Rand ([log in to unmask]).
