Lecturer in Medical Statistics (0.6 FTE)
We require an experienced statistician to join a small team of statisticians based within the Centre for General Practice and Primary Care (the Centre) currently based at the Mile End campus of Queen Mary University of London. Your main roles will be to support, train and advise researchers in primary health care and undertake collaborative research with colleagues within Centre.
The job is three days per week, two days funded by the North East London Consortium for Research and Development (NELCRAD) and one day funded by the Centre and is for 2 years. NELCRAD aims to support and develop local primary health care researchers and this post contributes to that aim.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified statisticians with experience of health related research and statistical advice work, who are able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, develop teaching materials, contribute to the design and analysis of research projects and work both within a team and independently. Applicants will also be able to use Windows based software and common statistical software.
This fractional position is available immediately. Appointment will be made on the Lecturer B scale, spinal point 12-18 (£30,123 - £38,017 inclusive) pro rata, depending on experience.
