Hi Dave and Elaine,
Thanks for your suggested solutions. Problem with guidance is that people
choose to ignore it unless they are community minded - possibly a cynical
view?. The Police Act 1830? I suppose it is still active as I have a vague
recollection that it is this Act that deals with vehicles not driving on
pavements - or something like that.
As always your help is much appreciated.
Regards.
John.

Subject: Re: [ACCESSIBUILT] Shop Canopies
Hi John
it comes under the Police Act of the 1830' something which
require all
projections in a street to provide a 2100 mm clearance.
Fig 8 in BS8300 is probably the best answer.
If not I'd suggest stair overhangs or window projections as
an example
fro Part M
Regards
Dave Croft
