Hi all
I have received the following notice on a consultation exercise.

and Disabilities in Schools
We are today (1 April 2005) announcing the three month public consultation
of
the update of Building Bulletin 77 on the DfES public consultation website.
http://dfes.gov.uk/consultations
Consultation Title: Building Bulletin 77: Designing for Pupils with Special
Educational Needs and Disabilities in Schools
The guidance promotes a high quality of design in learning environments for
pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities, supporting
their education entitlement, health, safety and welfare.
The proposed new building bulletin supersedes the previous edition of
Building Bulletin 77: Designing for Pupils with Special Educational Needs,
Special Schools, 1997.
It sets out advice on the planning, briefing and designing of school
accommodation, with improved building standards, which apply across all
educational settings in England.
The information is intended for all those involved in building new school
accommodation, or adapting, modifying and/or extending existing premises. It
will be of interest to providers, education advisers, architects, engineers,
building contractors and also to head teachers and their staff.
